New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields (7) got sacked in back-to-back plays in the fourth quarter before exiting the game, Sunday, September 14, 2025, in East Rutherford.

After missing a Week 3 matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jets quarterback Justin Fields has cleared concussion protocol. He will return just in time and suit up for Monday Night Football against division rival Miami Dolphins.

During the press conference on Friday, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed the good news for Jets fans. After leaving the Week 2 contest with a concussion, well-traveled veteran Tyrod Taylor would fill in for Fields, but was unable to get a win after playing reasonably well. Both of the AFC East teams have started the season at 0-3, and saying that this game is a must-win is an understatement.

Fields will look to improve upon what he has done this season with limited time. He has completed 19 of 33 passes for 257 yards and one touchdown. He has also used his feet, running 17 times for 97 yards. Monday Night Football is set to kick off with this game, the first of a doubleheader, starting at 7:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
