Wisconsin authorities on Friday announced an arrest in the death of a Canadian tourist who was shot and killed while heading back to his hotel after celebrating a hole-in-one on a golf trip.
The family of Giovanni Michael Robinson said he was fatally shot on the way back to his hotel at around 12:08 a.m. Wednesday in Sheboygan Falls, reported WTMJ, the NBC affiliate in Milwaukee. He had been out for dinner and drinks with relatives to celebrate his first hole-in-one at a local golf course.
Robinson’s brother and sister-in-law said their loved one was a new father who had traveled to the area for a golf trip.
An initial investigation into the shooting revealed Robinson was shot by someone driving a vehicle, although the motive remained unclear as of Saturday morning.
