The universities have failed to comply with mandatory disclosure norms of UGC

The Citizen Action Party of Sikkim has termed the recent public notice issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on 24th September 2025, naming four private universities from Sikkim among the defaulters for failing to comply with mandatory disclosure norms as a matter of serious concern for the state and its people.

The universities in question are:

Medhavi Skills University, Singtam, East Sikkim

Sikkim Alpine University (formerly EIILM), South Sikkim

Sikkim Global Technical University, Namchi, South Sikkim

Sikkim Skill University, Namthang, South Sikkim
