WHITELAND – Whiteland’s Madison Fleury scored the first three goals while powering the Warriors to a 9-0 victory over Bedford North Lawrence during girls high school soccer action on Saturday.
Fleury recorded her hat trick during the first 11 minutes as Whiteland improved to 10-4-1.
“It was our first time playing them, and we were not sure what to expect,” BNL coach Bret Roberts said. “I figured they would be a good team, but they shouldn’t have beat us by as much as they did. My girls had some great offensive opportunities but couldn’t get a shot in, and we had a tough time defending them.”
