Towns and cities across Canada are holding events in honour of National Truth and Reconciliation Day on Sept. 30.

The day, also known as Orange Shirt Day, honours the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

The government designated the day as a federal statutory holiday in 2021.

Here’s what’s happening in Calgary.
