The Red Sox are back in the postseason, but the full playoff field in the American League has yet to be determined.

What is for certain, though, is that the Red Sox will play on the road in the Wild Card Series as they’ll either get the fifth or sixth seed in the American League playoffs. All three games will be played at the Red Sox’ opponent’s home ballpark.

While the Red Sox don’t know who they’ll play yet, either, we know that they’ll be taking on one of the Yankees, Blue Jays, or Guardians. They’ll face New York or Toronto if they get the No. 5 seed, while they’ll take on Cleveland if they get the No. 6 seed.
