Rhamondre Stevenson won’t be disciplined for his two lost fumbles against the Steelers in Week 3, but the Patriots are still putting an emphasis on ball security ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Panthers.

The Patriots had some focus on ball security in every practice period this week, The Athletic ‘s Dianna Russini reported Saturday .

“They have been drilling it constantly,” Russini wrote. “Every practice period had some element of ball security, with ball carriers hammering on technique and everyone else hammering on protecting the guy with the ball. Now it just has to show up.”

Stevenson’s two fumbles only accounted for half of the Patriots’ lost fumbles in Week 3. Backup running back Antonio Gibson and quarterback Drake Maye each lost a fumble as well.
