COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M linebacker Scooby Williams has been ruled out for the Aggies’ SEC opener against Auburn Saturday, according to the conference’s game day availability report.
The senior left A&M’s road win over Notre Dame two weeks ago with three minutes remaining in the third quarter after suffering an injury on an interception play. He did not return to the game.
Monday, A&M head coach Mike Elko said Williams was day-to-day and improving.
This season, Williams recorded 12 tackles, including three tackles for loss and a sack to go along with the interception in the Notre Dame game.
Junior Daymion Sanford spelled Williams for the remainder of the Notre Dame game, tallying seven tackles and two tackles for loss.
