A township official in Montgomery County who also owns two day care centers is facing charges of sexually soliciting a minor and solicitation of child pornography.

Nicholas Fountain, 38, who serves as the vice chair of the Skippack Township Board of Supervisors, was arrested on Thursday.

According to 6ABC, Fountain is accused of soliciting sexual images from what he believed was a 14-year-old boy but was actually a detective with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland.

His home was searched by investigators on Wednesday and officials seized some electronic devices.

In addition to being a township supervisor, Fountain also owns Camp Magnolia in Skippack and Magnolia Children’s Academy in Gilbertsville. He has served on the board of supervisors since 2013.
