BOSTON —

For the first time in 4 years, the Boston Red Sox are going back to the postseason.

The Fenway faithful was out in droves following Friday night's Red Sox 4-3 win over the Detroit Tigers.

The win ensures the Sox will be playing baseball in October, but their playoff opponent still remains a mystery.

Boston will play either the Toronto Blue Jays or the New York Yankees in a 3-game wild card series depending on how the rest of the season shakes out.
