The New Hampshire Food Bank has received a $195,000 grant to expand community advocacy for the nation's largest anti-hunger initiative.

According to the New Hampshire Fiscal Report, 5.5% of the state's population is enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), will is equal to roughly 77,000 people. The NH Food Bank is partnering with New Hampshire Hunger Solutions and will use the grant money to strengthen resources for people who use SNAP benefits.

The food bank will also work with the Diocese of Manchester to raise awareness of this program through social media and other outreach campaigns.
