A man has died after an altercation in Victoria 's Gippsland region last night.

Police say they found two people with serious injuries after being called to The Boulevard in Morwell just before 10.30pm last night.

An 18-year-old Morwell died in hospital a short time later.

A 20-year-old Warragul man was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with dashcam or CCTV video or information to come forward.
