A driver crashed his work truck into multiple vehicles early Saturday, Sept. 27, in unincorporated Whittier, leaving at least one person injured, according to witnesses and local broadcast reports.
The crash occurred around 1:40 a.m. near Meyer Road and Imperial Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The fire department said it transported at least one person to the hospital.
One nearby resident reported hearing a sound like a bomb. Marisol Vargas said her car was among those hit, ending up on its side.
Witnesses told OnScene.TV, a freelance news videographer, that two people had been sleeping in their vehicles at the time of the crash.
