Alberta RCMP say the search continues for Darius Macdougall, a six-year-old boy who has been missing in the Alberta wilderness for seven days.

In a media briefing on Saturday afternoon. RCMP Const. Gina Slaney said the search continues and that approximately 60 RCMP officers are currently on the ground doing a shoulder-to-shoulder search in the area where Macdougall was last believed to be.

“I want to stress that we are not scaling back the search,” Slaney said.

A shoulder-to-shoulder search entails officers standing in a line and moving uniformly backward or forward through an area, to ensure there are no gaps that go unchecked.
