MOORHEAD — The Concordia Cobbers earned a measure of football redemption Saturday afternoon at Jake Christiansen Stadium.

One week after a 1-point road loss, the Cobbers flipped the script against Gustavus. Concordia stymied a 2-point conversion in the final 80 seconds of the fourth quarter to fend off the Gusties for a 14-13 victory in MIAC play.

“Last week was really hard on all of us, but we came back this week and we got back up on the horse," said Cobbers head coach Terry Horan.

The Cobbers (2-1, 1-1 MIAC) dropped a 17-16 decision at St. Olaf last Saturday after not being able to convert a game-tying PAT attempt with 3 minutes, 52 seconds to play in the fourth quarter. That proved to be the difference in the Troll Trophy rivalry game.
