DULUTH — No. 16 Minnesota Duluth continued its undefeated run through the regular season with a 28-14 homecoming win over Minnesota State Moorhead Saturday in front of a crowd of 3,833 at Malosky Stadium.
The Bulldogs picked off quarterback Jack Strand three times while holding the high-powered Dragons’ offense to a season low in points.
“We knew we were going to be tested, and we knew we hadn’t really been tested like that before,” said UMD cornerback Brock Unger of the challenge posed by the Strand and the Dragons.
“We knew we were going to get thrown at almost every play, so we came into this week having a little amped-up intensity."
