A man in a New Hampshire town says he was replacing his mailbox when a large piece of granite landed about 10 feet from him.

Richard Moline, from Alton, said it knocked down a tree limb and smashed down, leaving a mark in the driveway.

He said he heard an explosion before and says it's fortunate no one got hurt.

"We've heard blasts like this before, but having this piece of rock come into your driveway. It could have been a lot worse," Moline said.

The family did get in contact with the police and fire departments. The family thinks the piece may have come from a quarry blasting down the road.
