MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Officer Chad Prather was arrested by the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 26.

Prather was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center on a third-degree rape charge. His bond has been set at $100, and the investigation is ongoing.

In a statement, the Monroe Police Department said in part, “We are aware of a serious domestic incident involving a Monroe police officer in Ouachita Parish that occurred a few weeks ago. We are also aware of the seriousness of the charges and are providing our full support to the OPSO as they continue with their investigation.”

They go on to state that Officer Prather has been placed on administrative leave and an administrative investigation is already underway.
