For 103 days the Blue Jays have had at least a share of first place in the American League East, their bid for a last-to-first season surviving all manner of stops, starts and tests.

And now the task is to extend it to 104 in the 162nd and final game of the 2025 Major League Baseball calendar to finish off what a year ago would have seemed a far-fetched near impossibility.
