CINCINNATI (WXIX) - When the season is over, Connor Phillips said that he’s going to need to get a closer look at what’s going on in his shoulder/neck area. He’ll possibly get some more shots of Botox in his neck and in his pectoral muscle to loosen those muscles.
Phillips has faced some big roadblocks this year. He felt like he was throwing the ball well in spring training, but then some “Thoracic Outlet Syndrome stuff hit.”
Phillips spent the first month of the season on the injured list in the minor leagues.
“It’s something that if it’s not a pretty bad stage of it, it can be treatable,” Phillips said. “I did multiple shots in my neck and in my pec to loosen that area up for muscles and tendons to really work in there. It took that whole month for it to finally kick in. Since then, k
