STILLWATER — Oklahoma State fought until the final whistle, but dropped its first game without Mike Gundy on the sideline.

Baylor scored on the game’s third play and never trailed in a 45-27 victory over the Cowboys at Boone Pickens Stadium.

It was Doug Meacham’s debut as OSU’s interim head coach.

OSU showed spirit on offense, but couldn’t get stops on the defensive to seal their 10th consecutive loss in Big 12 play.

Zane Flores threw for 232 yards and Trent Howland finished with a personal-best 84 rushing yards in the home contest.

Oklahoma State ended with a season-high 448 yards of offense.

Baylor ended with 612 yards of offense.
