LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - After a hot, but dry, Saturday around Acadiana, quiet conditions settle back in for Acadiana overnight. Skies remain mostly clear and dry air will allow temperatures to drop into the 60s area-wide. Sunday will see plentiful sunshine again around the area as temperatures reach the upper 80s in the afternoon. A nice breeze will kick up during the afternoon hours to provide some relief from the heat.

We are following two systems in the tropics. The first is Hurricane Humberto which has rapidly intensified into a Category 5 hurricane. It still has an opportunity to get slightly stronger Sunday before dry air and wind shear kick in to start breaking it down.
