BEAUMONT, Texas — Two men stole seven high-end chainsaws from a Northern Tool + Equipment store on Eastex Freeway early Saturday morning, according to the store manager.

The robbery happened around 8:15 a.m. at the store located at 6250 Eastex Fwy, just after the business opened for the day.

The manager said the suspects used bolt cutters taken from inside the store to cut cables securing the chainsaws. The stolen equipment was valued between $1,500 and $1,700 each, totaling approximately $10,500 to $11,900 in merchandise.

During the incident, one of the men pushed a staff member who was telling them to leave the premises, according to the manager. The employee was not injured in the altercation.
