Trexo Robotics, based in Ontario, unveiled its device to help people with mobility issues in Saanich, where a physiotherapy clinic is in the running to get the device for up to 12 months.

For the first time in a long time, Matthew Honing took steps that felt “natural” to him. Growing up with mobility issues, he was given a chance to get back on his feet. On Saturday, Kids Physio Group in Saanich gave some of its clients the chance to try a new robotic device.

“I did feel different. Like in my walker, I’m obviously walking, but it doesn’t feel as natural of a walk, but like it felt pretty natural, I didn’t think it would feel as natural but it did, it felt quite natural,” said Honing.
