A four-day streak of decreases to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County totaling 1.9 cents ended Saturday with an increase of three-tenths of a cent to $4.725.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 11.9 cents more than one month ago and 16.8 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has dropped $1.768 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The streak of decreases followed a run of seven increases in eight days totaling 3.5 cents.
