A 17-year-old boy was shot on Friday night and later died, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to a shooting call at the 4900 block of Keith Place at around 6 p.m., where they located the victim.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead on Saturday, deputies said.
