NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The New Haven Police Department is reporting that a homicide occurred on Saturday evening.

A 15-year-old boy has been shot and killed in the area of Bassett Street, according to city police.

The police department says it is considering the death to be a homicide, and an investigation is ongoing.
