VANDALIA, Ohio (WXIX) -The Ohio Task Force 1 is set to deploy to the Carolinas Sunday morning ahead of a severe weather threat.
The National Weather Service is warning of a potential for significant rainfall and flooding as storms approach the southeastern U.S. coast.
A roster of 47 team members has been set and will be headed by Task Force Leader Ryan Hogsten.
It will include 17 Water Rescue Specialists and two canine search specialists with their canines.
The team is scheduled to depart at 8 a.m. from their facility in Valdalia.
