HARPERSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) -- Saturday was opening day at Old Baker Farm, and the pumpkin patch is bringing in both locals and tourists.

“I love seeing all the different kinds of pumpkins," said pumpkin patch attendee Emma Durr. "Like, there's so much more than just the orange pumpkins. There's like green ones, and white ones, and like really pale green ones.”

Even after a dry summer, farm owner Leah Harry says the pumpkins at the farm are porch ready.

“Their dryness actually does help a little bit because we don't have to go and turn the pumpkins if it's too rainy," Harry said. "The pumpkins. All right. And then you just have to bring in an entire new crop. So that's really hard. So, the dryness is not great. The deer are not great, but at the same time, we're not having to go out there
