Sunny and dry weather returned to central and south Alabama Saturday after some late week showers and storms. It was warm too, with high temperatures near 90° across our area. Saturday night looks mostly clear and mild with lows in the mid 60s. Sunday looks partly to mostly sunny and mainly dry, with high temperatures near 90° again.

Our weather pattern likely remains mainly dry early next week. However, longer-range models diverge somewhat after Tuesday. One model keeps our area mainly dry for the rest of the week and next weekend. However, another model shows increasing chances for rain after Tuesday, lingering through next weekend. Either way, it looks like temperatures trend cooler, with highs potentially in the low 80s Thursday and Friday.
