NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) -- The Carnival Sunshine has altered its itinerary for its cruise departing Sunday due to the tropical weather systems in the Atlantic.

The ship was initially set for a six-day cruise from Norfolk to three Bahamian destinations: Celebration Key, Nassau and Bimini.

The Carnival Sunshine will instead have an overnight visit to Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The ship is still scheduled to return to Norfolk on Oct. 4.
