It’s difficult to speak about them separately because they truly were partners in every sense of the word. From the moment they met in Texas in 1977, their lives became intertwined. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter and family.

Rodway proudly served 38 years in the United States Army and the Utah Army National Guard. He was deployed to the Middle East multiple times and retired as a chief warrant officer O4. Janna devoted her career to civil service for the Utah Air National Guard for more than 24 years. Each of them answered a calling greater than themselves — to serve their country. But while uniforms and titles may describe their careers, they don’t fully capture who they were as people.
