Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has admitted public concern about migration needs to be “considered and respected” by governments, despite taking a swipe at UK Reform leader Nigel Farage.
Speaking to ABC Insiders on Sunday, Mr Albanese attributed the surging popularity of the Reform Party to the “politics of grievance”.
“I think the world is very much turbulent at the moment, and it is the case that sometimes people look for easy answers that their lot in life is difficult because of people who aren't like them,” the Prime Minister said.
“And the politics of grievance… are always easy. It's easier to tear things down than it is to build them up.
