Coming off the win over Oklahoma State, Tulsa head coach Tre Lamb decided to ride with Baylor Hayes at quarterback against Tulane on Saturday.

The Green Wave's defense though was the story racking up 13 tackles for loss, six sacks, and holding Tulsa to just 92 rushing yards. Tulane walked away with the 31-14 victory dropping the Golden Hurricane to 2 and 3 overall and 0-2 in American play.

Down 7-0 in the first quarter, Lamb dialed up a trick play that worked to perfection with Hayes hitting Grayson Tempest for a 51-yard gain that put Tulsa at the one yard line. Tim Hardiman punched it in from there to tie the score at 7.

Down 14-7 in the second quarter, the Golden Hurricane answered with a 72-yard touchdown from Hayes to tight end Brody Foley down the sideline.
