A Michelin-trained chef has shared her "secret ingredient" to making "fluffy" and "crispy" roast potatoes . Poppy O'Toole, a best-selling cookbook author who proudly calls herself the "potato queen" shared a new recipe with her 4.8 million followers on TikTok . ‌

In a popular video, Poppy mentioned she'd come across a recipe that suggested adding clotted cream to roast potatoes, so she decided to give it a whirl. Despite initial reservations, she went ahead with the experiment. ‌

She said: "I have made a lot of roast potato recipes in my time and this is one of the weirdest ones. I just don't know how I feel about it. I do love me a clotted cream, though." ‌
