BOZEMAN, Mont. - Eastern Washington (1-4) stood no chance at the defending Big Sky champions Montana State (3-2), falling 57-3 in Bozeman.

EWU returned starting quarterback Jared Taylor from injury, but he only threw for 59 yards on five completions. Rushing didn't do much either, as Eastern ran for 83 yards on 36 carries.

Montana State ran wild on offense with five rushing touchdowns and three through the air, quarterback Justin Lamson passing for 270 yards.

The MSU win is their largest margin of victory ever over EWU, and ties their most points ever scored against the Eags.

EWU returns home next Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff against the Portland State Vikings.
