SALISBURY — From the time she saw her first potter at work, Linda Dalton knew this would be fun and it eventually became her career.

However, she did mention with a laugh that as a little girl she loved to play in the mud and make mud pies when she visited her aunt on her dairy farm and thought maybe that was sort of the beginning for her.

Dalton, who with her husband Jim Dalton, owns Linda Dalton Pottery, crafting functional and decorative wheel thrown and hand built pottery at their working studio, located near Pinehurst.
