The draft land use plan map showcases what types of development and land usages would be emphasized in certain areas of the county. Of note, the plan calls for special consideration around the lakeside communities, Enochville and Gold Hill along with rural commerce and industry in areas along N.C. Highway 152 and U.S. Highway 52.

SALISBURY — Rowan County’s comprehensive future land use plan is close to approval, and local residents have one more opportunity to provide their input now that a draft plan has been put together.
