Emergency services are continuing to mop up a huge blaze in the popular Hillary’s Boat Harbour in Perth’s north after a boat caught fire on Saturday morning.
According to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, multiple triple-0 calls were made about 10.50am on Saturday describing a luxury cruiser, roughly 50ft in length, on fire.
In videos of the fire posted online, a thick bloom of smoke can be seen lifting over the harbour.
The fire was able to be controlled at about 11.30am and was contained to one ship.
Crews remained on scene during the afternoon to ensure the fire was completely put out.
It is understood no one was onboard at the time of the fire.
Boaters using the harbour were warned to use caution on Saturday afternoon.
