After Trump as demon, now another West Bengal pandal depicting Bangladesh's interim Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus as Mahishasura is creating a buzz.

At the Sadhak Narendra Smriti Sangha pandal in Murshidabad's Berhampore, organisers have chosen a political theme titled 'Dahan', meaning the end of evil. In line with this, the traditional demon Mahishasura has been sculpted to closely resemble Dr Yunus, while a severed head held by Goddess Durga is clearly modelled after Shehbaz Sharif.

Indrojit Dubey, one of the key organisers, defended the choice, saying, “The theme this year is ‘Dahan’. Given the present situation, we decided to portray Dr Yunus and Shehbaz Sharif as they symbolise evil.”
