Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport received a bomb threat on Sunday, prompting the police to tighten security. In addition to Delhi airport, several schools and other institutions across the capital also received similar bomb threat emails and searches are being conducted at those locations as well.
The sender claimed affiliation with a terrorist group named "Terrorise 111" and warned that bombs had been planted, threatening explosions within 24 hours.
Police officials described the email’s content as likely a prank but have launched a full investigation. The threat email was sent to between 100 and 150 email addresses belonging to various organisations.
Investigations are ongoing as officials monitor the situation closely.
