New York: India has emphasized its commitment to maintaining strategic autonomy and freedom of choice in global economic and geopolitical matters, as External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar addressed concerns over inconsistent trade practices by major powers.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, Jaishankar highlighted the challenges posed by rising protectionism, unpredictable tariffs, technology restrictions, and coercive supply chain practices.
