HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford Police are investigating a shooting that left one person in critical condition early Sunday morning.

"Officers responded to a report of a person shot at approximately 1:16 a.m. near Parrilla y Sabores at 342 Franklin Ave.," police said. "A crime scene was located, and shortly afterward, a local hospital alerted police that a gunshot victim had arrived by private vehicle."

The victim remains in critical condition, according to police.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions have assumed control of the investigation.
