TORRINGTON, Conn. — A massive factory fire in Torrington happened early Sunday morning which led to the response of multiple fire departments nearby.

The fire, which broke out off Summer Street, has led to significant road closures, with fire hoses spanning across several roadways. Authorities urge all drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

According to Torrington Police, the following roads are currently closed due to the ongoing fire response:

Litchfield Street westbound at Wilson Avenue

Prospect Street, from Water Street to Litchfield Street

High Street, from Litchfield Street to Summer Street

Summer Street

In addition, Route 202 at Wilson Avenue is also closed, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT).
