PIEDMONT, Mo. (WSIL) -- Three people were taken to hospitals after a vehicle crash in Wayne County on Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated the crash happened on September 27, at 10:50 p.m., along Missouri AA, roughly six miles west of Piedmont.

State police said a 34-year-old man from Piedmont was driving a 2003 Buick LeSabre going west, with three other passengers in the vehicle, when the vehicle ran off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and flipped over.

An 8-year-old and a 9-year-old were reported with minor injuries while a 35-year-old woman was reported with serious injuries. The juveniles were taken by ambulance for treatment while the woman was flown for treatment to St. Bernard's in Arkansas.
