Ellie Goldstein has responded to Strictly Come Dancing viewers after they thought they saw her 'upset' during the first live show of the series.

The model and actress is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the BBC One dance contest this year and previously said that she hopes to "be an inspiration" to viewers at home as the first contestant with Down syndrome to compete on the show.

Speaking about joining the series, Ellie said: "I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining the cast and pros of Strictly Come Dancing this year. It’s a show I’ve loved watching for so long, and the chance to now be part of it feels like a dream.
