A Parkrunner was left in hospital and others were also stung on a 5km course.

It came after a hornets nest was found to be distributed at Severn Valley Country in Shropshire yesterday, Saturday, September 27.

The runner required treatment from a paramedic before they were taken to hospital.

They are now in a stable condition.

Other runners were rerouted away from the area.
