Team Europe may have a quieter day at the Ryder Cup on Sunday as their heroics have sent plenty of the home fans packing.

Luke Donald’s dozen have eviscerated Team USA in record breaking fashion in New York and American fans have now responded by trying to sell their tickets.

Tickets for admission to Bethpage for the final 12 single matches have now dropped below 60 per cent of face value on resale websites.

General admission initially cost £550 for the last day of action but dropped as low as £220 on Saturday night after Europe won six out of eight match-ups for a humbling 11.5 - 4.5 lead.

To make those numbers even more shocking, initial prices even reached the £1120 mark on the same resale websites a week before the tournament.
