MANSON, Iowa (KTIV) - A two-vehicle crash in Calhoun County, Iowa left two people dead and four others injured shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27.

The Iowa State Patrol says a 2012 Chevrolet Express van driven by 46-year-old Wilfredo Quevedo Mesa of Storm Lake, Iowa was traveling westbound on Iowa Highway 7 when it crossed the center line three miles east of Manson.

The van struck a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling eastbound driven by 21-year-old Conner Darr of Manson, Iowa.

According to the state patrol, both vehicles left the roadway after the collision. The van rolled onto its side upon entering a ditch. The pickup truck entered a ditch, struck a utility pole and came to a rest in a field.
