In a strange story down in Prince Edward County, OPP officers are investigating the case of a Tim Hortons franchise manager allegedly offering a five-figure payment to a teenage girl to the girlfriend of her adult “brother” to help his goal of attaining “permanent residency” in Canada.

“I can confirm that the Prince Edward OPP Detachment entered into a marriage fraud investigation on Sept. 9, 2025,” said Sgt. Joe Brisebois.

“The investigation is ongoing,” he added. “No additional details are available at this time.”
